The Unification of JOG
Two sites, 70 plus members, a nation, a team , a clan that has spanned the course of 4 + years. Once more JOG is whole again. The Nation of JOG and its long lost brothers of teamjog have forged together into the one entity known solely that of JOG!
The circle is now completed. For many its a time of rejoicing, for some a passing of what was known, but for all, new horizens await those that seek them.
The Nation of JOG, half of this newly unifed JOG, and a powerful entity in its own right has sought to look inward, to honor its history and to focus its collective Jedi on defending its homefront.
And defend her they shall. . .
To JOG, the nation, the team and all of her citizens far and wide that fight elsewhere now. . . May the Force Be With Us All!
Fact: JOG first naval ship yards were named after JOG Orion. They were called . . . the Orion Ship Yards. The main Capital ship of the fleet was named as well for Orion, called the Orions Belt. Arrgie also had a capital ship named after him, called the Arg. Many of JOG members have gotten ships and or planets named after them in JOG lore.
fact: if you left JOG during tht time, your ship that was named after you, would usually not fair too well in JOG holonet reports. Purely by coincidence though
JOG use to contain a area solely meant for space on its forums. It show cased three squads, Gold, Green and Red squadrons. Gold were the Xwing/ tie fighter class, green were the awing/ tie intercepter class, and red was bomber class.
fact: Arggie was the famed Red Leader, and has seen many stories written about his and his men and women's exploits.
fact: JOG's first true leaders of our Military was Delta and Sycoa. However after a few months, and due to inactivity of the leaders, they were replaced by chicali and Clean.
The move prompted Delta to leave in anger, and to erase many of the first holonets written, erase the first conquest 2 vs 2 tournament and the rearrangemnent of many fo our boards.
however in time, approx. 7 or 8 months, JOG forgave delta and even named it s first main public board on a brand new JOG site, The Delta's Dive, for his contributions to JOG during his time here.
fact: The current Illad Lounge board that serves as a show of honor to Mr Clean for it once was his email address.
Other boards that have honored JOG members include Nerd Supply depot ( for nerd Vader) and Ashez Pit, ( 360 Sector main forum board) Orion's Barracks and Porchmonkey's Barracks.
fact: However before the first true leaders of JOG's military came about, squads were formed to better coordinate JOG's forces. Squads included Squad Rancor, Squad Ironfist and squad Ragnarok. Squad Mynock was created as well. . .
