Alright, there are just too many teams to post on a poll here. . . so who do yo got winning it all. Brazil is ranked number 1 at the moment, spain 2. . . .

I will be rooting for England. . . my favorite team, followed by the US of course. . .

Spain I believe is the bets team though. . .
Germany is screwed without their captain. . .
Brazil always is tough
Argentina should be better. . .
and mexico will find a way to lose. . .

US should get through the group stage, but after that we'll probably be screwed. I don't mind that at all though, because US is way over-ranked.
Personally, I don't particularly care who wins, I just want to see good soccer. However, I want teams with flair like Argentina, Spain, Brazil, etc. to go far (like they usually do) so I can watch them more. I feel like it would also be really cool if at least 1 of the African teams got in the later stages of the tournament since this is the first time its been held in Africa and no African team has ever gotten past the Quarterfinal (Cameroon), and I'm pretty sure that South Africa and Ivory Coast haven't ever gone that far.

Looking forward to it. USA's hardest group game against England will be June 12th (dont know what time of day) and if I dont see anything on the 11th, it will be my second game watching soccer in HD on the new TV my family got just before Spring Break!

3D TV is arguably one of the worst ideas I have ever heard of. It sounds just awful. I'm more than happy to sit and enjoy and soccer game from a view that makes me feel like I'm practically in the stands to start with. Besides, whats 3D going to do for a soccer game? I barely even noticed the difference between Avatar 3D/no 3D (It was obviously but at the same time subtle and was no different. Just had to wear uncomfortable glasses the whole time is all).


Slgihtly more on topic, only about 7 countries have ever won a world cup.....
Brazil, Italy, Uruguay, (West) Germany, England, Argentina, France

I would really love to see that list expand a little.....

i dunno how i feel about everything in 3d...

but im looking forward to it...espn announced they are broadcasting it in 3d as well.... but those 3d tvs are new and expensive....me and my buds are looking to find some new sports pub that has them...im curious about the novelty of live sports in 3d, could be cool

ps3 games are going 3d too btw, im not really interested in purchasing one until they can make 3d without glasses though

okay so today was the day. . . the beginning of the world cup. . . both games ended ina  draw. . .

Mexico played south africa. .. this was actually a good game, and mexico didn't look that good in the second half. Africa looked faster and quicker. The france urugruay match was boring. Urugruay's defense looked impressive though.

they were defending champs and last world cup and were bounced from tourney as reigning champions without even scoring a goal

that carried over to today as they still didnt score offense looked anemic

well of course i am rooting for team mexico because i live here, but in all honesty from the games ive seen played its about even score wise in all the groups so far. several draws.  i had a good laugh at the england goalie losing the ball in the net haha.  mexico played hard at the start against south africa although africa came back even harder and scored.  i dont even know how mexico put theirs in.  argentina looked really promising.  italy the world cup winners from last year didnt play extremely well against paraguay, that was a pretty sick goal off the head.  i cant remember which game, but the goal off the head and off his teammates back was way sick.  i have a good feeling with argentina.... MEXICO!!!!!!!!! that is all lol.

i actually dont know now.  mexico beat on france really hard leaving them barely one shot and multiple for mexico.  they could be really good this year, giovanni is da man.  holland has a fairly good streak.  all of africa fell out this year once again haha.  its basically the same teams headed to win like every world cup, argentina, brazil etc. its a toss up, but in the end probably not a big surprise to anyone.  im almost afraid if mexico did win that the next morning everything would be lit up in flames and theyd be passed out in the streets.  its disgusting how much they love soccer here, not even a commercial or tv show that goes without showing the world cup in some way.  they got a really strong team this year and that last game they played extremely well.  i throw my bet on them now, or someone think different? cuz i might just be blinded.
