Well When I jailbroke my iPhone 2g, it ran slow as hell. Its processor was slow to begin with and jailbreaking made it slower but it all depends on how much add ons you download. It saves onto like/var and it nly has like 100mb space capacity or something

No the only way it changes is with the firmware so yeah. If you have the latest firmware than I guess speed goes up somewhat but not as fast as if its not jailbroken.

To my knowledge, JailBreak is legit. I use it for my iPod and get all of the apps for free. They are normally ones you would have to pay for. I haven't been told its illegal, nothing has happened to me or anybody I know that uses it. It's either illegal or too secure for the people using it too get fucked.

     Not true, there is no way of getting there regular apps in the itunes store for free unless they were free to begin with.  Jailbroken iPods get apps through the program Cydia.  People create apps that mimic other but they aren't the legit ones. 

     In my opinion, Jailbreaking isn't worth it.  I have done it for my ipod and psp and all it does is slow down the system.  Sure there might be a few cool apps here and there, but you'll eventually get bored with it and want the old, better running version back.

Like I said before, I used it a year ago; there could be a lot more stuff I'm not aware of by now.  I wasn't impressed with the top apps they had up like dTunes.  That just provided me with a link to beemp3 for music.

well its legit.

Ive order mine...weither it arrives from the back-order before the other hacks are completed (psp,android,iphone) remains to be seen.

every site selling the ps jailbreak is sold out or down.

the jailbreak has been ported to work with some usb microcontrollers.... those usb boards are now sold out everywhere in the world. hell... even sites with just directions on how to do it are down due to people floodin their sites.

if youve got a nokia n900 phone you can hack your ps3 to play backups right now.

absolutely no where.

I have looked everywhere and evry place that sells them is sold out everywhere in the world now.

alot of places are doing pre-orders thats what ive done... they wont receive them until thr 15th or so this month so still gotta wait

a ps3 update will hit the air soon.... sony is banning folks playing online now with a error code 800347. they are using the ps3 mac address so the ps3 is tainted forever like xbox360s that have been tagged they still work but will never go online again (making new psn doesnt work)

its not clear if future firmware can be hacked... the only way to be sure is to get a ps3 and keep it on 3.41 firmware (meaning no online updates, or playing games online atm)

the more sony put efforts into stopping the jailbreak the more hackers will try to break trough.
so far sony is doing a good job (comparing to nintendo)...

doesn't seem worth the effort to jailbreak a ps3 right now.

its only a week old,give them some time.

I dont understand why there hasnt been a ps2 usb loader by now that works well...id prefer the massive ps2 game collection vs the 20 or so good ps3 games right now

but ill take what i can get

Wow I'm surprised they shut that down fast, but what they can take from this is to allow people to copy their own game discs and allow them to upload for backing up. You'd have to verify the game disc by going online then they give you the download all just in case if the original game disc get's wrecked, something that could help those out there who get this problem.
